Moon in Balance is a symbolic mixed-media work inspired by the changing phases of the moon and the changing phases of life. The composition reflects the idea that balance does not mean remaining the same—it means learning to move through light and shadow, fullness and emptiness, stillness and transition while remaining connected to yourself.

Gold, black, and soft ivory create a visual conversation between contrast and harmony, while raised botanical texture adds depth, movement, and individuality. The circular form represents continuity and wholeness, even as its surface and surroundings shift.

Moon in Balance is ultimately about becoming: honoring the phase you are in, trusting the movement of your own journey, and recognizing that change can still be part of balance.

ARTIST NOTE

The original inspiration piece was created for the artist’s Pilates studio owner. The concept connects physical balance with personal transformation, the phases of the moon, and the different phases we move through during our own life journeys.

This work begins the Moon in Balance series. Future works remain individually created one-of-one originals.
